KABK Open Department Identity

I was commissioned by the KABK Graphic Design
Department to design the Identity and Graphic System
for the Online Open Day (which was extended this year
to an Open Department).
The brief required an open, flexible system that would allow the department to create, as needed, a big amount of content in different sizes and formats; would allow to differentiate between communications pertaining both the BA and the MA departments or only one of them, and would show at a glance the many types of events that were being promoted. It was also required that the identity subtly convey the strength and focus of the department: type and technology.
Type and technology became the base for the concept of the design system, a “Digital Typesetting Table”, which I made into an interactive online tool ready to use by the department and which automatically produces infinite variations.
